The Differences between Our Saltwater Pool Models

A saltwater pool is specifically designed and warrantied by the manufacturer to handle saltwater systems. Since saltwater can be highly corrosive to most above ground pools, it’s essential to choose a model built to withstand this environment.

The Pool Factory offers six pool models warrantied for saltwater use: the Saltwater 5000, Saltwater 8000, Saltwater LX, Saltwater Aurora, Saltwater Titan, and the Intrepid.

The Saltwater 5000 features a 7″ wide extruded resin ledge and stands 52″ high. In contrast, the Saltwater 8000 boasts a sturdier frame with an 8″ wide true curved ledge made from premium injection-molded resin, ideal for pool durability. Additionally, the Saltwater 8000 stands taller at 54″ high, offering enhanced structure and style.

Both swimming pools include a Stainless Steel service panel for exceptional corrosion protection. The Saltwater 8000 features a decorative wall bolt cover, seamlessly hiding the connection between the stainless steel panel and the pool wall. The Saltwater 5000, however, does not include this added feature.

The Saltwater 5000 and Saltwater 8000 are semi inground pools. They are warrantied for semi-inground installation up to halfway (26 inches or 27 inches) in the ground.

Saltwater 8000 vs. Saltwater LX

The Saltwater 8000 and Saltwater LX pools have all the same features. The only difference is the color. The Saltwater LX features resin top ledges and sleek resin top caps in a rich Chocolate hue. The uprights are a mocha metallic color.

The Saltwater Aurora features an all resin pool frame with resin composite wall technology, bringing above ground pools to an entirely new level. The Intrepid pool model includes a manufacturer’s lifetime limited warranty and supports saltwater systems. Proudly made in the USA, it can be installed semi-inground or above-ground. Semi-inground installations are warrantied up to 36 inches deep, offering flexibility and reliability.

It features 9-inch wide extruded resin ledges and 6-inch resin uprights, built to resist weather, water, and wear for lasting performance. Heavy-duty resin top and bottom tracks provide additional support and 100% corrosion resistance. Injected resin connectors and two-piece caps enhance both stability and style, giving the pool a beautiful and polished appearance.

The stainless steel skimmer panel, crafted specifically for saltwater use, provides superior corrosion resistance and simplifies maintenance. Made in Canada, the Saltwater Titan includes a 30-year limited warranty and supports both above-ground and semi-inground installations. It is warrantied for semi-inground setups up to 27 inches in depth.
