How to connect the hoses on your hydrotools

Learn how to connect the three different hoses on your Hydrotools Sand Filter System.

The following article will describe and illustrate how to connect the three hoses included with your Hydrotools Sand Filter System.

Step 1 - Scroll through the steps by clicking on the arrow in each image.

Apply teflon tape to the threads of one of the Hose Adapters.

Step 2

Insert the Hose Adapter into the internal threads of the pump's strainer housing (front of pump).

Step 3

Slide one end of the 6' Hose over the Hose Adapter and secure it using a Hose Clamp.

Step 4

Attach the other end of the 6' Hose to your thru-wall skimmer's hose adapter using a hose clamp. Installation of the first filter hose is complete.

Step 5

Locate the port on your 6-Way Top Mount Valve that says "PUMP".

Step 6

Apply teflon tape to the threads of the Pump Hose Union Adapter Fitting.

Step 7

Insert and screw the Pump Hose Union Adapter Fitting into the port labeled "PUMP".

Step 8

Identify your High Pressure Pump to Filter Hose Assembly.

Step 9

Locate the O-rings for the High Pressure Pump to Filter Hose Assembly (found in accessories bag). There are (2) O-rings required; one for each end of the hose. Both of the unions at the end of the hose require an o-ring.

Step 10

Insert the O-ring into the grove on the union of your High Pressure Pump to Filter Hose Assembly (one on each end).

Step 11

Attach your High Pressure Pump to Filter Hose Assembly to the High Pressure Hose Adapter Fitting.

Step 12

Attach the other end of your High Pressure Hose to the top of your pump.

Step 13

The installation of your second filter hose is complete.

Step 14

Locate the port of your 6-Way Top Mount Valve that says "RETURN".

Step 15

Locate an additonal Hose Adapter Fitting and apply teflon tape to the threads.

Step 16

Insert the Hose Adapter Fitting into the port labeled "RETURN".

Step 17

Slide one end of the 6' Hose over the Hose Adapter Fitting and secure it using a Hose Clamp.

Step 18

Attach the other end of the 6' Hose to your return jet's hose adapter using a hose clamp. Installation of the final hose is complete.
