The thickness for vinyl pool liners is typically distinguished by "Gauge" in the above ground pool industry. You may see a vinyl pool liner measured in "MIL", which is usually how an inground pool liner is measured.
We sell vinyl pool liners from the top manufacturer's in the above ground pool industry because they are great quality and they stand behind their products.
The pool liners that we carry are not rated by MIL thickness, they are distinguished by Gauge. A 20 Gauge liner is considered standard for vinyl liners. A 25 Gauge liner is thicker and more durable compared to a 20 Gauge liner. A 30 Gauge, 35 Gauge, and 40 Gauge liner are the heaviest and most durable liners available.
Please see the chart below to view how the liner thickness in Gauge compares to the approximate liner thickness in MIL:
Liner Thickness in Gauge | Approximate Liner Thickness in MIL |
---|---|
20 Gauge | 12-13 MIL |
25 Gauge | 14-15 MIL |
30 Gauge | 16-17 MIL |
35 Gauge | 18-19 MIL |
40 Gauge | 20-21 MIL |
